Ford South Africa expands Everest range with new Wildtrak model

Ford South Africa has expanded its Everest range with the addition of four new models, including a Wildtrak version and entry-level XLT.

Ford South Africa has added four new model to its Everest range, including an entry-level XLT version and Wildtrak model.

Ford South Africa is offering four more models to its Everest range, with the addition of an entry-level XLT and Wildtrak models.

The Everest XLT 2.0 BiT 4×2 is offered from R832 400 and sports a meaty 154kW and 500Nm from its 2.0-litre l Bi-Turbo diesel engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, according to TimesLive.

FORD SOUTH AFRICA LAUNCHED THE NEW EVEREST IN LATE 2022

The remaining models include the XLT 2.0 BiT 4×4 that costs R896 300 and the Sport 2.0 BiT 4×2 at R918 500. Both those models have the same power output as the entry-level model.

The Wildtrak features a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel with 184kW and 600Nm. It also uses a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The 4×4 Wildtrak boasts impressive standard specification including LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, 8-speaker sound system and a dual sunroof.

THE BLUE OVAL’S SUV LINE-UP IS NOW SIX MODELS STRONG

The Wildtrak is priced at R1 084 000 and has a 12-inch touchscreen that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Ford South Africa seven-seat SUV is also fitted with several driver assistance features including including lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring.

The Wildtrak version has an interior with subtle styling elements that sets it apart from other derivatives. Look out for mustard-coloured stitching on the steering wheel, gear lever and dashboard.

The Ford South Africa Everest is sold with a four-year or 120 000km warranty. Ford offers buyers the option to buy a maintenance plan that is valid for up to eight years or 165 000km, whichever comes first.
