AKA’s cars: 3 incredible whips owned by one of South Africa’s greatest rappers

We take a look at three cool BMWs owned by the late South African rapper AKA, including the X7 SUV and luxury 7 Series sedan.
Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, known professionally as AKA, was killed in Durban in February 2023 according to the BBC. The 35-year-old rapper was known to his fans as “The Megacy”.

THE MOTIVE FOR AKA’S DEATH REMAINS A MYSTERY
South African media reported that police had arrested three suspects linked to AKA’s murder, however KwaZulu-Natal police would not comment on the arrests and whether they had anything to do with the Cape Town-born rapper’s shooting, TimesLive reports.

“The Megacy” was one of the country’s finest rappers and had a penchant for living the grand life. He was known the world over and British football club Manchester United paid tribute to Forbes. He was an ardent Red Devil supporter, and in a match program the club sent a message:
“We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Kiernan Forbes, otherwise known as AKA — a rapper and United supporter from South Africa. He was a huge red greatly admired by so many, our thoughts are with his family and many loved ones,” the tribute said.

Aside from his love of Manchester United, AKA also enjoyed cars. One of his favourite brands was BMW, and he owned three awesome examples from the German carmaker.
