Winning PowerBall Plus R74 million ticket was bought in KwaZulu-Natal

ITHUBA, the operator of the National Lottery, confirmed that one lucky player scooped the R74 155 812.50 jackpot.
“Following a series of roll-overs, it is with great excitement and pleasure for the ITHUBA team to welcome the latest PowerBall Plus multi-millionaire.
“As always, the team looks forward to providing our winner with exceptional service and helping him/ her into their new normal.
“Good news for our players, there is still an opportunity to be a multi-millionaire with Friday’s PowerBall jackpot estimated at R115 million,” said ITHUBA CEO Charmain Mabuza.
The winner will receive their winnings tax free between 48 to 72 hours after coming forward.
A team of financial advisors and psychologists will be made available to offer the winner advice on a series of portfolio investment opportunities as well as trauma counselling.
Meanwhile, as reported by The South African website, Tuesday’s R108 million PowerBall jackpot was not won.
The five PowerBall numbers drawn were (in numerical order): 5, 7, 16, 36, 41 and the Powerball number itself was 2.
One player correctly predicted all five numbers, but crucially not the PowerBall number, and won R569 402.90.
The next PowerBall draw will take place on Friday, 18 November 2022 with an expected jackpot of R115 million.

Meanwhile, Tuesday’s PowerBall Plus draw saw South Africa welcome its newest multi-millionaire when an as yet unidentified player hit the jackpot – big time!
The five PowerBall Plus numbers drawn were (in numerical order): 11, 14, 23, 26, 38 and the Powerball number itself was 6.
The next PowerBall draw will take place on Friday, 18 November 2022 with an expected jackpot of R4 million.
