Zulu king wants virgin to birth heir – are requirements ‘unrealistic’?
‘No one qualifies here’: Tweeps have weighed into a list of requirements allegedly by Zulu king Misuzulu for a woman to bear him an heir.

According to a royal insider, newly-crowned Zulu king Misuzulu Ka Zwelithini is looking for a woman to birth him an heir to the throne
But not just any woman, the mother of the boy child, must meet a minimum of requirements to be considered eligible.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ZULU KING HEIR – TWEEPS REACT
According to Twitter user @azania1023, Misuzulu is seeking a woman to conceive his heir to the Zulu kingdom.
And just like his own mother Mantfombi Dlamini – a Swati princess, the woman should be of distinguished heritage.
The tweep shared: “King MisuZulu is yet to choose a lady who will bear him a son who will become Amazulu King. That lady must:
- Have royal blood
- Be a virgin
- Be attending umkhosi womhlanga [Zulu reed festival]”
The tweep added: “If your blood is not royal then you can still marry King MisuZulu but none of your children will be the next Isilo [king]”.

But fellow tweeps are unsure if the requirements were “realistic”. In fact, many took offence to the 48-year-old king seeking a virgin bride.

MISUZULU WIFE AND CHILDREN
Whilst Misuzulu is seeking a Zulu virgin, he does in fact have two wives and several children.
According to IOL, the king wed his long-time partner Ntokozo Mayisela, a day before his mother’s funeral on 6 May 2021.
Ntokozo – a philanthropist and jazz music student – has two children with the king. The couple reportedly met in 2009 at Misuzulu’s sister’s wedding in Durban.
According to TshisaLive, the king also has a son with Princess Wezizwe Sigcau of the amaMpondo heritage.
IOL reported last year that Misuzulu also took a second wife – Nozizwe Mulela – although the couple has yet to have a wedding ceremony.
