Zozibini Tunzi recently wowed SA with her singing voice after posting a cover of ‘Runnin’ (Lose It All)’ by Naughty Boy, featuring Beyoncé.

Miss South Africa and Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi, just proved she might have a singing career waiting in the wings after releasing a video of herself singing Beyoncé and Naughty Boys’ hit song Runnin(Lose It All).

Zozibini Tunzi goes viral with golden voice

Yes, the Eastern Cape-born beauty surprised her fans when she uploaded a video of herself singing Naughty Boy and Beyoncé’s 2015 smash hit.

According to All4Women, the video grabbed the attention of the country and within 24 hours had already been streamed close to 10 000 times on Twitter where fans hailed Miss Universe’s rendition of the song. After all, not just anybody can cover Beyoncé’s vocals while sounding good at the same time.


Making it as a singer

It is no surprise to the public that Zozibini can sing. She uploaded earlier versions of herself singing on her various social media channels. She previously covered Amanda Black’s Amazulu.


She also posted a video on her Twitter and Instagram pages where she sang Andra Day’s Rise Up

On Twitter, the caption read: “Hearts are heavy, anxieties are at an all time high but we will pull through. When you feel like your hands are tied and you are suffocating, I pray you atleast find comfort in hope.”

Happy ‘Crowniversary

On 8 December, Zozibini also celebrated a year since being crowned Miss Universe. Zozibini is the third South African woman to win the Miss Universe crown. Her victory has been hailed as a triumph of the natural beauty of African women and has meant a tremendous amount to so many not just in South Africa but across the world.

In celebration of the ‘crowniversary’, accompanied by a throwback video of her crowning as Miss Universe, Zozibini wrote: “And so there it was! A moment orchestrated by the heavens. A moment manifested by my ancestors and brought to life by the union of those who created me. This! The beginning of the rest of my life.”
