The official first look of Sophie Turner’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix just dropped and X-Men fans are loving it.

Sophie Turner and the XMen is set to return to the big screen in the latest installment of the popular X-Men franchise.

According to Cnet, X-Men: Dark Phoenix will follow Jean Grey as she hones her increasingly dangerous mutant powers. Her fellow X-Men will have to decide whether to save her from the Phoenix, her dark alternate personality, or protect the humans she threatens.

In the film’s first trailer released earlier today, a young Jean Grey is seen trying to figure out what’s wrong with her.

Professor X, played by James McAvoy, says in the trailer: “Jean, you are not broken.”

The rest of the trailer features the X-Men tearing into Professor X for something he did.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to hit South African cinemas on 15 February 2019.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix Cast

It seems the entire main X-Men: First Class cast will return for the next installment including, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and Nicholas Hoult as Beast.

The main young mutants introduced in X-Men: Apocalypse are also back including, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.

Jessica Chastain is attached to play the film’s main villain.

Other cast members include Evan Peters, who has stolen the show as Quicksilver in the last two X-Men movies and Lamar Johnson who has joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
