Wine popsicles are heading for SA, just in time for Spring!

Wine lovers rejoice, soon you

Haute Cabrière, the Pierre Jourdan brand of Franschhoek wine estate recently announced its range of wine-based frozen popsicles. JML Consulting, the main creators behind the idea, revealed that the popsicles “are a deliciously decadent, adults-only treat, and will be available in selected stores” across Gauteng and the Western cape.

The good news is, the popsicles will be released just in time for Spring, according to Eat Out.

Apparently the Pierre Jourdan Wine Popsicles, or PJ Pops as they’re referred to, are the first “home-grown, wine-based popsicle product to hit local shelves”. The idea was inspired by products abroad and proved to be very successful.

The pops will be launched on 1 September and will be available in two wine-infused flavors namely a Brut flavor made form the Pierre Jourdan Brut, a Cap Classique, and Pierre Jourdan Tranquille, a still wine blend made from pinot noir and chardonnay.

Eat Out reported that “the popsicles will remain true to the popular wines but will be slightly sweetened with natural fructose, and will have a velvety sorbet finish to deliver a more decadent dessert experience.”

The pops are stylishly packaged – dark-green for the Brut, a rosy blush for the Tranquille, all presented in a sophisticated, fully-recyclable popsicle tube with an aluminium foil top-seal for you to enjoy anywhere, anytime.
