Following winning recent awards* for its on-board food and wine, and the announcement of a new catering partner, South African Airways (SAA) has launched a new social media competition called Taste South Africa to celebrate the culinary scene in South Africa, with the chance to win a holiday for two to Cape Town.
South Africa is known for some of the world’s finest cuisine paired with a stunning array of wines that can be enjoyed against a backdrop of breathtaking scenery. SAA is calling on holidaymakers and South Africans alike to share their images, recipes, or videos of their amazing South African cuisine experiences, whether cooked at home, tasted in a restaurant, on the beach or out in the wild. The winner will receive a holiday for two to Cape Town including dinner at Reuben’s, the restaurant of one of SAA’s celebrated on-board chefs, Reuben Riffel, while staying in a luxury room at the One&Only Cape Town resort.

SAA is asking entrants to upload their culinary-inspired entries to www.tastesouthafrica.co.uk between now and 11 August for their chance to win. The public can enter, view and vote for their favourite South African inspired cuisine at www.tastesouthafrica.co.uk.
The prize includes two return flights with SAA from Heathrow to Cape Town and five nights at the One&Only Cape Town staying in a Marina room with exquisite views of Table Mountain from the large private balcony.
