Vino in Piazza: Celebrate the

An authentic Italian experience is coming to Joburg! The Vino in Piazza is coming to Joburg thanks to the Consulate General of Italy in Johannesburg, the Italian Embassy in Pretoria, the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Chamber of Commerce.

It is reported that this year’s festival will not only showcase never-before tasted Italian wines and some unique wine pairing sessions with renowned Italian chefs but will also include Italian pop-up restaurants, food stalls and a kiddies area, all contributing to creating ‘an authentic Italian experience’.

The event will coincide with the ‘International Week of Italian Cuisine’ that is celebrated all over the world, all while the Italian Embassy will be hosting Michelin Star Chef Alfono Caputo from Napoli, Italy, who is famous for his typically fish-based cuisine and who will be conducting the wine-pairing sessions during the festival.

It is also said that the event will display some of the latest models from the legendary Ferrari and Ducati brands.

What to expect:

Apart from rubbing shoulders with renowned Italian chefs, enjoying wine pairings, and indulging in a variety of Italian delicacies, your ticket will also get you a goodie bag filled with 20 wine tasting vouchers, one wine tasting glass, one Lavazza coffee, and a voucher to attend one wine-pairing session.
