Viking Star, Travis Fimmel is set to join Comic Con Africa in September.

Fimmel, who plays popular Ragnar Lothbrok on the hit show is set to join the event on 15 and 16 September. He was most recently seen in a supporting role in the A24 film Lean On Pete, opposite Chloe Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, and Charlie Plummer. The Australian born actor’s other credits include the romantic comedy Maggie’s Plan, WARCRAFT, and The Beast.

Fimmel joins the event in the absence of Game of Thrones’ Jason Momoa who had to withdraw from the event earlier this year due to an unforeseen filming schedule change. In an Instagram post, Momoa sent his sincere regrets and said he still hopes to be able to come to a future event.

Luckily, it looks like fans are still happy with Fimmel joining the event.

“Let’s be serious, Aquaman ain’t got NOTHING on Ragnar,” said one Twitter user. “Time to geek out like a Viking,” said another.
