The Thembalitsha Foundation and #Active4Hope are excited to announce two charity entries for the Virgin Money London Marathon.

What is #Active4Hope?

The Thembalitsha Foundation is a non-profit organisation that works to restore hope and transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable and marginalised persons in the Eastern and Western Cape, South Africa. The organisation does this through health, education and training projects. The Thembalitsha Foundation works to inspire change by offering a hand up and not a handout.

#Active4Hope is a fundraising campaign and movement for the Thembalitsha Foundation. The ethos of #Active4Hope is fitness, wellness and feel-good interaction. The campaign encourages belief in the spirit of community and the power of togetherness. The campaign is designed to be a positive experience for both the #Active4Hope participants and for the project beneficiaries.

The London Marathon

The Thembalitsha team and #Active4Hope are excited to announce that they have secured two charity entries for the world’s most iconic marathon – the Virgin Money London Marathon 2020. The Virgin Money London Marathon ballot entries have been announced. If you were unable to secure an entry you can run as an #Active4Hope participant for Thembalitsha UK in support of theThembalitsha Foundation, South Africa.

The marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet. Given the emphasis that the event places on fundraising, the only way to get the full experience would be to run and fundraise. What a wonderful opportunity to fulfill a personal challenge and be a part of the race day energy all whilst supporting a create cause.
