Tom Cruise’s 320-acre Telluride, Colorado ranch-style estate is now on the market for a cool R587 million.

Yes, the Top Gun and Jerry Maguire actor listed the property for the first time ever.

About Tom Cruise’s R587 million ranch

According to House Beautiful, Cruise has enlisted the property with the help of real estate agent Eric Lavey of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty and Dan Dockray. The two told the Wall Street Journal that the star was in the process of selling the property some years back. However, the listing never made it to the public, “I’m not sure [Cruise] was ready to sell it yet,” Lavey told WSJ.

It is said that Cruise spent many years building this secluded estate surrounded by the mountains of Colorado, completing much of his work on the home back in 1994, according to a report by Sotheby’s from 2014. The report states further:

“The home features a warm and inviting 10 000-square-foot main house with four bedrooms and six bathrooms, a recreation room, a library and a gym. A storybook 1 600-square-foot guesthouse with three bedrooms and three baths is also part of this quiet mountain estate.”

The property’s vast acreage is threaded by a private trail system providing gated access into tens of thousands of acres of surrounding National Forest and magnificent views of mountain peaks. The sprawling property also features a sports court for ice hockey, tennis and basketball.

What’s more, the estate is only minutes away from the historic downtown Telluride for world-class skiing and golf.

Luxury Meets Legend

Compared to South Africa

In 2020, Seeff Properties listed the most expensive home to date on the market in South Africa. The super-luxury villa is located high up in Clifton in Nettleton Road, the most expensive street in the country with an average selling price of R150 million to R200 million said Jo Lombard, a luxury market specialist at Seeff Atlantic Seaboard.

The listing indicated that the six-bedroom house for sale was designed by renowned architects Peerutin which will “seriously impress”.

“The house is built on one of the widest plots in the road and features six en-suite bedrooms, stylish open-plan living and dining areas, a media room, gym, wine cellar, garaging for six cars and an expansive outside entertainment area with an infinity pool and one of the best views that Cape Town has to offer.”
