The year has just gotten off to a start and Nasty C is already winning.

For starters, while he was out on vacation in Tokyo, Japan, he met up with American rapper Post Malone. The Grammy-nominated muso was on holiday at the same time as Nasty C and their iconic meeting was captured in an image which Nasty C posted to his Instagram account.

The snap even prompted nods of approval from fellow rapper AKA, singers Shekinah and Shasha and hip-hop producer Gemini Maejor.

Nasty C’s ‘walk of fame’

Then when we had just finished screenshotting and saving the Post Malone moment, the 22-year-old popped up in Hollywood surrounded by pop star Justin Bieber and soul crooner Sam Smith.

They were all invited to Sir Lucien Grainge’s Hollywood walk of fame ceremony which took place on 23 January.  Grainge is the CEO of Universal Music Group worldwide.

Nasty C was even mentioned as one of the specially invited guests alongside Bieber and Smith.

Oh, Baby!

While he was mingling with Tinseltown’s music royalty at the Hollywood walk of fame after party, Nasty C managed to get Young Money founder and CEO Baby to pose for a picture with him.

Baby’s Young Money record label boasts signees, such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, Mack Maine, Lil Wayne and Cory Gunz. The music executive is famous for his business acumen which has netted him millions in artist management fees, music rights and brand management.

Nasty C has collaborated with rappers Asap Ferg and French Montana so a partnership with One of Baby’s signees would be a match made in musical heaven.

‘SMA’ racks up YouTube views

Nasty C also celebrated 10 million YouTube views on his single, SMA, which features Rowlene. The song is from his Strings and Bling album which has reached triple platinum status and won him a South African Music Award (Sama) for best hip-hop album in 2019.

The rapper from KwaZulu-Natal was also honoured with a top 100 Most Influential Young South Africans 2019 award.

Fans of the artist can look out for his collaboration with US rapper T.I which is set to be released later in 2020.
