All4Women recently rounded up three videos featuring hilarious parenting and teacher moments that went viral last year.

Between online learning and celebrating the fact that your kids have to move out one day, here are the videos people loved last year:

Online learning

It is said that TikTok user makeshift.macaroni who is also a music teacher – posted her original song after a couple of weeks of balancing home-schooling, baking bread from scratch and trying to figure out how Zoom meetings work.

Payback and karma

A hilarious video of Ohio mom Angela Higinbotham and her husband recreating a scene of what they would like to do to their kid’s homes when they move out one day is just the absolute best! #payback and #karma are some of the hashtags she used for the post which has received more than 2.6 million likes.

Giggles in the background

People loved an Instagram video that mom Mackenzie (Bennion) Haggett shared of herself missing a golf swing and her little baby just breaking out in giggles in the background. It seems like both dad and baby agree that it was an epic fail.

A funny compilation

Last year, St John’s Diocesan School for Girls took to Facebook to share a funny compilation about teaching online classes.

St John’s DSG shared the clip in the hope that people can relate as online teaching (and business meetings for that matter) has become the norm during the national lockdown in South Africa.

Along with the clip, the school in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal said that they are prepared to start their online classes.

“Like the rest of the world, we will be heading into a new world of teaching, unlike what we’ve ever experienced before. It’s exciting and perhaps a bit daunting too, but our teachers have spent hours training, practising and getting ready for tomorrow: the very first, totally virtual day of school at St John’s DSG.

“They’ve also had a good laugh at themselves! So, in the spirit of fun, they’ve put together a ‘blooper reel’ of everything that could go wrong during online teaching (and they are putting measures in place to ensure these awkward online moments – hopefully! – do not occur).

“Well done to our phenomenal teachers. We are so proud of you for all your effort, hard work and sacrifice during this time!”

The video quickly went viral after it was shared on 14 April 2020, and proceeded to clock in over 84 000 views (as of 15 April 2020).
