What is #Active4Hope?

Thembalitsha UK’s mission is to raise and channel funds to the amazing work of the Thembalitsha Foundation in South Africa. The Thembalitsha Foundation is a non-profit organisation that works to restore hope and transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable and marginalised people in the Eastern and Western Cape, South Africa. The organisation does this through health, education and training projects. The Thembalitsha Foundation works to inspire change by offering a hand up and not a handout.

#Active4Hope is a fundraising campaign and movement for the Thembalitsha Foundation. The ethos of #Active4Hope is fitness, wellness and feel-good interaction. The campaign encourages belief in the spirit of community and the power of togetherness. The campaign is designed to be a positive experience for both the #Active4Hope participants and for the project beneficiaries.

Our 2020 London marathon entrant has embraced his #Active4Hope journey and recently hosted a fitness event at Train Moment gym in Chicago. It was incredible to see his crew rally in support of his fundraising goal. It is also incredible to witness global support for our South African projects. If you have ever considered enhancing your sport event experience through a collaboration with a social impact organisation, then #Active4Hope is for you.
