This is why the scale isn’t always the best indicator or your fitness progress

The scale is just a number. A very deceptive number.

This is why the scale isn’t al

So, you’ve been hitting the gym, the road or whatever your choice of exercise and after a while, you notice that the scale just isn’t budging. You feel frustrated. You are monitoring your calories, tracking your steps on your fitness tracker but meh.

You see pictures of people on Instagram who show you how before-and-after pictures can be totally deceiving, but you still feel so damn irritated when you’re doing everything right and don’t see the results on the scale.

Well, stop looking at the damn scale.

Meet Adrienne Osuna a mom and fitness blogger who focuses on weight training.

After years of having issues with her weight, Adrienne got serious. She started a strict regime of lifting, cardio and intermittent fasting and now a picture she posted on her blog earlier this year is going viral.

Her point? “Goal weight” is a misleading concept.

Yeah, the difference on the scale is about 2 pounds (that’s not even one kilo!).

Her image was lifted off her blog and appropriated for all sorts of stuff which is why she shared it to Instagram. She pointed out that she used no products – as some of the picture thieves have claimed.

It’s all just been good old fashioned hard work and dedicated.

But… and this is an important but… the number of the scale can be so deceptive.

Yeah, you see? The scale is such a vague measure of progress. And you might even notice that your weight fluctuates throughout the day.

Good on ya, Adrienne for this reminder that you don’t need to witness the fitness through some electronic device.
