The Grand Tour Season 2: Trail

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are back on the box with their globetrotting extravaganza, exclusively on Amazon Prime.

The Grand Tour, Amazon’s number one global hit show, is back on Prime Video with new episodes featuring the former BBC Top Gear presenters on December 8.

They have filmed across five continents for the series

Trips to Croatia, Mozambique, Dubai, Spain, Switzerland, Colorado and New York all feature this time around.

The giant studio tent, meanwhile, has a new home in the quaint, British countryside surroundings of the Cotswolds. Not exactly where you expect to hear screeching tyres and smell burning rubber.

Born out of the ashes of the team’s controversial departure from hit BBC series Top Gear, they reunited in 2016 for the new, no-expense-spared show.

Clarkson had been ditched by the BBC after he attacked a producer at a hotel following a day’s filming.

The second episode of their new project brought them to South Africa, where they set up camp at the Cradle of Humankind in Gauteng.

May also took a trip to Soweto, while there was still time to mock Jacob Zuma and his Nkandla firepool.

Grand Tour Season 2 release date

You can see the new series on Amazon Prime Video from December 8.

Alongside the announcement of the launch date, a new trailer has been released to provide an exclusive first look of what season two has in store.

The three presenters will be reintroduced to fans with a heart-stopping, vertigo-inducing moment as they slide down the side of a snowy mountain.

Naturally, the soundtrack to all this is Paul McCartney’s Live and Let Die from the 1973 James Bond film of the same name. What else?

It showcases an epic mix of the world’s most incredible cars and other ‘vehicles’ alongside stunning scenery and a healthy dose of mud, dirt and adrenaline.

So fasten your seat belts and get your foot down for your next fix, petrolheads.
