The Bachelor SA

For those tired of sitting and waiting for a chance at true love, there is finally some hope… if you don’t mind your courtship playing out on the TV screen with, of course, a bit of fierce competition.

M-Net is launching The Bachelor SA, a local version of the popular ABC, and is in search for contestants, with the first episode set to air in a matter of months.

The local version of the show, which has been licenced to over 30 other countries, will be handled by production company, Rapid Blue, which has produced shows such as SA’s Got Talent, Come Dine With Me SA and The Great South African Bake Off.

The Bachelor SA: How to enter

The channel is searching for single ladies over the age of 21, who have either never been married or legally divorced.

“Potential entrants may want to know if The Bachelor is looking for specific qualities, ”says Donald Clarke, Executive Producer,” Donald Clarke, the show’s executive producer said.

“Do they have to be drop-dead gorgeous, be able to flirt with fire or finesse, have an interesting life story, be an outgoing party girl or be blessed with beauty and brains?”

When do entries open?

You might wanna act fast if you’re hopeful of being the lucky lady who will get the coveted rose.

Entries are already open, and run until 20 August.

When does the first episode of The Bachelor SA air?

What better day is there to sit back and watch a few people battle it out for a chance at love than on the day when love is in the air?
