The world is full of ambitious entrepreneurs who sell lots of unique products. From delicious food to funky sneakers, cool T-shirts and classy necklaces. One out-of-the-box reality star who started selling her farts for money, however ran into a slight “wind issue”.

90 Day Fiancé star Stephanie Matto suffered chest pains after farting too much. Unfortunately, she had to be rushed to the hospital where she was informed that her diet had a role to play in her problem with flatulence.

STEPHANIE MATTO’S WINDY BUSINESS VENTURE

Stephanie Matto went viral on TikTok in November 2021 after revealing that she sells her farts. In the TikTok video, the reality star took her fans through “a day in the life of a girl who sells her farts in a jar”.

The 31-year-old kicks off her days by eating some beans, a protein muffin and hard-boiled eggs. That day, she spoiled herself with a protein shake and included some yogurt. While she waits for “the fart to develop” she enjoys cozying up with a good book.

When she’s “ready to go” she farts in the jar and adds a flower petal for a “Stephanie Matto” touch. She also writes the buyer a personalised note.

At the time she was selling the farts at 50% off for $1000 (R15 795) a jar.

TOO MUCH WIND?

According to The Daily Mail, Steph recently experienced sharp pains in her chest and had to be rushed to the emergency room (ER).

“I thought I was having a stroke and that these were my final moments. I was overdoing it,” she said.

After struggling to breathe, Steph called her friend to rush her to the ER where she was informed that she was suffering from “very intense gas pains.”

“I was advised to change my diet and to take a gas suppressant medication, which has effectively ended my business.”

Due to the demand of her unique business, the 90 Day Fiancé star was pushing out 50 jars of farts a week.

THE AFTERMATH

Step mentioned that she received mixed reactions from people who caught wind of her business. “I try my best to not react to these people and give them what they want, which is attention.”

“In this day and age, we need to stop tearing people down for their choices. Especially if their choices are literally hurting no one.”

She concluded that she thinks her family is relieved about her business about “her retirement.” “Honestly, so is my colon,” she added.
