A 40-year-old woman quit her stressful job to move back in with her parents who now pay her R11k a month to be a stay-at-home daughter.

A woman has made headlines after sharing how she left her day job to become a stay-at home daughter. The 40-year-old’s parents reportedly came up with the idea after she complained about how stressful her job was.

She now gets compensated R11k in exchange for keeping her parents company, doing household chores and helping the folks keep fit.

Woman leaves job to become stay-at-home daughter, salary included

A few years ago, a young woman went viral after revealing that she was a stay-at-home daughter who spends millions of her parents money a year.

Her day-to-day activities includes shopping for designer handbags, spa dates and doing her hair and nails.

Another stay-at-home daughter is making headlines. 40-year-old Nianan from China, gets paid R11k or 4,000 yuan monthly from her parents.

According to reports, Nianan’s folks shared the idea of her becoming a stay-at -home daughter after she complained about being stressed out at work.

Instead of letting their child waste away at an unfulfilling job, Nianan’s parents asked her to quit and become their caregiver.

“Why don’t you just quit your job? We’ll take care of you financially,” they were quoted as saying.

Being the obedient daughter that she is, she signed her resignation letter, packed up all of her belongings and now spends her days with her parents.

What does an average day in her life look like?

The South China Morning Post reports that Nianan now spends her days cleaning up her parents home.

Doing grocery shopping and sometimes dancing and having all sorts of fun with her folks.

The money for Nianan’s “salary” comes from her parents’ monthly retirement income which is around 10,000 yuan (R29,489).
