‘Spinathon’ in London aims to raise money for vulnerable children in South Africa

Londoners, kick start your New Year fitness regime and make a difference in the lives of children.

‘Spinathon’ in London aims to

Starfish Greathearts Foundation will host their annual Spinathon on 25 February from 1pm-9pm at the Wimbledon Pedal Studio in London.

All funds raised will go towards helping take care of children affected by HIV/AIDS and poverty in South Africa.

The intention is not that participants cycle non-stop, but rather that teams of up to 8 members share the round-the-clock pedalling. Teams select how they would like to break up the pedalling duties and can pedal as a group or tag each other in a relay.

People who don’t have the time to create a team are encouraged to sign up anyway, as they will be assigned to an existing team. Qualified instructors will be on hand to lead the classes.

The fundraising target per person for the event is £50 in the hopes that enough funds will be raised to pay a Child Care Coordinator for three months at a day care centre in South Africa. The cost to register is just £10.
