Jackass star Sean Mclnerney suffered a horror shark bite when a wakeboarding stunt over infested waters went wrong, while filming a Shark Week special for Discovery on 11 July.

‘JACKASS SHARK WEEK’

The Jackass crew reunited to film an episode for a Shark Week special on Discovery and Jackass veteran Steve-O and Chris Pontius decided to send their newest crew member, Sean Mclnerney, nicknamed “Poopies” wakeboarding across shark infested waters.

The stunt did not go as planned as Mclnerney failed to stick the landing and plunged into the waters where a shark swarmed towards him and bit him on the hand.

Crew members raced to rescue him but the shark had already sunk his teeth into Poopies hand. In an interview with Steve WillDoIt before it aired, Steve-O said that the injury was worse than what meets the eye and he was lucky to be alive.

“He would be f****** dead if they didn’t dive on him as fast as they did. Jesus, he got wrecked by a shark! For a Shark Week episode!,” said Steve-O according to Daily Mail.

“It’s a reminder that yeah, like, we are pushing it pretty hard. And this could happen, of course,’ he said. ‘It’s either, like, everything’s okay or this happens. And hopefully it’s always everything’s okay, everything’s okay. But then… you know, this time it’s not okay,” said Chris Pontius in the clip.

SEAN MCLNERNEY: ‘I WAS IN THEIR LIVING ROOM’

After getting a scar for life and a deadly encounter, Mclnerney remained calm acknowledging that there was a possibility that he would get bitten but he understands because he was in their “living room” at “dinner time.”

“’I definitely got a degree in shark college there. I knew there was a chance I was going to get bit by a shark, but I didn’t think it was going to happen,” said Mclnerney according to Daily Mail.

“I don’t blame the sharks at all. I mean, I was in their living room, and it was dinnertime,” he added.
