The Saxony Sandton is a luxury apartment block that sets to redefine the meaning of residential comfort amongst Johannesburg’s antiquated architecture.

The new development, which is to be launched officially in mid-November, is a 27-storey building which features a unique triangular architectural design. Draped in bronze and metallic screens, this monolithic embodiment of opulent urban living cost Saxony Developments R2 billion to bring to life.

Johannesburg’s already impressive skyline is due to receive another jewel in its crown in the form of The Saxony Sandton, which, as the name suggests, is located on Saxon road.

What’s in The Saxony Sandton?

According to the developers, in addition to housing 397 luxurious apartment suites, The Saxony Sandton will also include a host of facilities, namely, concierge services, a cigar and whiskey lounge and a high-rise bar which overlooks Johannesburg’s great expanse.

The developers have described this ground-breaking development as the “Rolls Royce of apartment living”, saying:

“This jewel-like development will feature lavish 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and outstanding 3 and 4-bedroom penthouses.”

Architectural designers have also emphasized the importance of natural light through the apartment block. Suites also include Italian designer kitchens and advanced smart home technology which exude modernity and style.

How much do apartment’s cost in Johannesburg’s newest high-rise?

According to the developers, the starting price for an apartment in The Saxony Sandton is R3.2 million. Sales open on 17 November.
