Netflix has shared the official teaser trailer for season two of upcoming drama series Savage Beauty on Tuesday 28 May.

The second season of South African Netflix Original drama series Savage Beauty will officially release on 28 June. Savage Beauty season two will be released in a total of six episodes. The series follows the powerful Bhengu family, who will do whatever it takes to keep their Beauty Empire intact.

So, where does season two pick up? Well, just where season one ended. Stately patriarch Don Bhengu, played by Dumisani Mbebe is losing his control over his wife Grace, played by Nthati Moshesh. Their children Phila and Linda played by Jesse Suntele and Nambitha Ben-Mazwi respectively, seem to be unpredictable and their acts are threatening to tear the family and business apart.

According to Netflix, Eve Rasimeni, Angela Sithole and Oros Mampofu reprise their roles and joining the cast this season are veterans Tony Kgoroge and Abena Ayivor, as well as newcomer Lebogang Fisher.

“Fifteen years ago, Don and Grace Bhengu tested a toxic product on a group of children living on the streets. Now one of the two survivors, Zinhle Manzini, returns to seek revenge,” reads the series’ synopsis.

“Zinhle becomes the invisible force that exposes family secrets, leading the Bhengus down a path of destruction. But innocent people get hurt along the way, while Zinhle’s own darkness threatens to consume her.  Zinhle has to decide whether she wants justice or pure, cold revenge,” the synopsis continued.

“A wealthy patriarch with a devastating secret manipulates his broken family back to unity while each member hides their power-hungry secrets, leading to infiltration by enemies and the destruction of the last of their true bonds,” reads the synopsis of the film.
