The spotlight will be on South African/Dubai-based lifestyle and management company, Blu Blood, this August, as they prepare to host the world-first high profile, globally-produced and large scale live indoor Bollywood music concert with ‘COVID-consciousness’ since the pandemic started.
Yes, it is said that Bollywood sensation, Sonu Nigam, together with an 18-piece international ensemble of performers and musicians, will perform in this once-in-a-lifetime live music event on Friday, 21 August 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. It is said further that the award-winning Nigam has set unprecedented milestones throughout his career and he is undoubtedly one of Bollywood’s biggest driving forces who is continuously scaling new heights. Adding to the excitement of the forthcoming concert, Sonu Nigam describes the event, titled The Light, as being “a reminder that no matter the darkness, love, beauty and light will always prevail”.
“As we cautiously emerge through this pandemic and preserving the socially distanced norm that we have come to appreciate during these times, Blu Blood will ensure that all health and safety guidelines as laid out by the Dubai government, and on the recommendation of the World Health Organisation, are carefully followed and carried out,” explains Blu Blood Managing Director, Osman Osman.
Synonymous for bringing high profile entertainment to Southern African stages, Blu Blood is an innovative lifestyle brand with a strong base in South Africa and established an office in the Middle East in 2019.
Osman continues: “We are humbled to be making history and to be laying out the path for the future of the live music industry. This concert represents the light at the end of this darkness and we will prevail.”
Blu Blood plans to explore innovative solutions to create a safe performer and guest experience. Dubai World Trade Centre’s original 4400 capacity venue will be reduced to 1400 available seats (paired in seats of 2), as well as strict social distancing among performers and crew members and the mandated safety procedures issued by the government throughout the venue.
