Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton have attracted quite a bit of controversy with their visit to Jamaica after many Jamaicans started protesting to have the Queen removed as the country’s head of state when they just arrived. In spite of this, the pair of royals have visited various Jamaican cities in a bid to make the most of their visit.

And now they are once again trending as people discuss photos and videos taken in Jamaica which paint a picture of Kate hating that she has to interact with black people.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge go viral after questionable snaps of Kate surface

Thousands of Twitter users have been left outraged by photos of Kate Middleton during her visit to Jamaica this week.

In some of the photos, Kate can be seen walking near a gate that separates her from hundreds of Jamaicans who are reaching out their hand to touch her.

One image shows the Duchess actually touching some of their hands while seemingly trying not to get too close.

“Who thought this was a good photo op?” one Twitter user with the handle @notcapnamerica captioned the photo.

Meanwhile, in the comment section, another Twitter user shared a video of Kate reluctantly letting a black Jamaican woman who was trying to get her attention, touch her.

Instant outrage

The post almost immediately went viral as many wondered why the photos and videos were taken and shared online. Many people mentioned Meghan Markle and how she first claimed that the royal family is racist.

Others however defended Kate by saying the photos and videos were taken out of context. Here are some of their comments:

@veldasaxby defended Kate by saying:

“So someone took a series of bad photos which specifically to suit their own agenda. Kate isn’t remotely racist. Nervous yes!!! Apart from seeing huge crowds gathering to see them, with no fences, there have been protests at their visit in some places. I’d be nervous!!!”
