Rocking the Daisies is one of the most exciting music festivals on the local music calendar. This year, the festival is returning to Darling at the Cloof Wine Estate between 7 and 9 October. After promoting their most expensive camping option as the “Black Coffee penthouse“, Rocking the Daisies organisers seems to have hit a roadblock….

According to Business Insider, the Grammy award-winning musician has requested that his name be pulled from the Rocking the Daisies promotions.

‘BLACK COFFEE PENTHOUSE’ GETS A REBRAND

The “Black Coffee penthouse” offered by Rocking the Daisies was the most luxurious camping option for the Cape Town edition of the festival. The penthouse, which was going for R13 795, includes two beds (with all the coverings), an electric blanket for extra warmth, breakfast and plug points.

BusinessInsider reports that the Black Coffee penthouse has now been rebranded to the Hallmark House penthouse following a miscommunication about the use of the producer’s name.

Organisers told the publication that the 12 people who had booked the suite were offered refunds but the penthouse is still available for R13 795.

WHAT CAN FESTIVAL-GOERS EXPECT?

Rocking the Daisies’ Hallmark House Daisyland has five other camping options for festival-goers who are not interested in the luxury R13k penthouse.

The MaXhosa Suite is the second priciest option at Daisyland for R8995. The option also includes breakfast and access to the VVIP showers.

The cheapest option in the Daisyland camping experience goes for R2495 which includes a double bed blow-up mattress and sleeping bags.
