Nothing beats the delicious taste of homemade traditional South African crunchies!
One thing I do miss eating is crunchies , the UK nearest equivalent is ‘flapjacks’ which are thick, soggy and with no crunch.
It is possible to buy these biscuits from a South African shop, but why not make your own?
Ingredients
180g of butter
2 cups of oats
1 cup of unsweetened coconut
1 cup of flour
1 cup of sugar
2 tablespoons of golden syrup
1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
