Princess Eugenie reveals she is having a plastic-free royal wedding

Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank is only three months away and details of the celebration is steadily making its way in the news.

Princess Eugenie is currently ninth in line to the throne and is set to have her own royal wedding in October. She and her older sister, Princess Beatrice recently agreed to an exclusive interview with British Vogue where she revealed more of her wedding plans.

In addition to compiling Pinterest boards of cakes, the Princess also noted that not only does she keep her house, Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace, plastic-free, but she’d like her wedding to be, too.

“My whole house is anti-plastic now – and Jack and I want our wedding to be like that as well,” she said. 

The royal also took to Instagram to speak out about the importance of limiting the amount of single-use plastic in our everyday lives. She also announced her new role as an ambassador for Project 0, an organization that works to protect and restore the ocean

“I’m so excited to have recently become an Ambassador of Project 0 whose aim is to restore and protect the ocean,” se said in the post. “Today we launched our new partnership with @skyoceanrescue and of course, Plasticus, the whale made of used single-use plastic…Together we aim to inspire people to make sustainable choices to stop the ocean from drowning in plastic.”

Princess Eugenie’s wedding nerves:

“I’m not stressed at all,” she said about her wedding. “It’s very nerve-wracking because you want it to be perfect but then you realise that you’re going to be with the person you love forever and nothing else really matters.”

Princess Eugenie wedding date:

The wedding will take place on 12 October 2018 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank:

The royal and the 32-year-old nightlife mogul announced their engagement earlier this year. The couple started dating seven years ago when they met while skiing in the Swiss resort of Verbier.
