After social media was left in stitches by footage of four police guards who don’t know their left from their right, some people in South Africa took to social media to share their own ‘salute’ in what they are calling the ‘Police Challenge’.

The four police guards were attending the funeral and memorial service for Richard Maponya, aged 99, who passed away peacefully last week on 6 January when they got the salute all wrong. A video clip of the incident went viral afterwards where the four officers can be seen turning in different directions after the command is made during the proceedings at West Park Cemetery.

Now, some took it upon themselves to film their own ‘salute’:

Its not clear who filmed the video above, but South Africans are loving their sense of humor! It was posted by Kelebohile Ernestacia Azariah Crisp on Facebook and already clocked in over 300 000 views.

“This is brilliant,” said one Facebook user. “You guys did a great rendition…the SA humor still on top!” said another.

“If confused was a person…” said another. “I couldn’t breathe because I laughed so much.”
