Squid Game has taken the world by storm and is quickly going on to become one of Netflix’s most-watched series taking it right to the top beside the current record holder, Bridgerton. Season 1 follows the life of one financially struggling man who meets a number of people in a similar position as he is while they battle to the death in a series of child games.

And now the creator of the hit series has revealed what the second season may have in store

Squid Game season 2? The fans are thinking YES PLEASE!

Netflix horror Squid Game is a worldwide hit and it hasn’t even been on our screens for very long. With only nine action-packed episodes of season one, it’s no wonder fans are so impatient whether or not they’ll soon get to watch a second season.

Well, there is some good news for those who’ve already watched every single episode – there may just be another season on the way soon.

Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has spoken out about what he would do if he was given the opportunity for another season.

Here’s what he has to say:

According to Hwang in a The Times article, if he gets the go-ahead for season two, it will be focused on The Front Man. The Front Man is the guy from the first season in the black mask who organises the games while monitoring players and his red jumpsuit wearing guards.

“If I do get to do [another season], one [idea] would be the story of the Front Man.”

He also says that he would put a lot of focus on police officers and the way they do their jobs highlighting the issues that not only Korea but the rest of the world is facing when it comes to law enforcement officials.

“I think the issue with police officers is not just an issue in Korea. I see it on the global news that the police force can be very late on acting on things – there are more victims or a situation gets worse because of them not acting fast enough.

“This was an issue that I wanted to raise. Maybe in season two, I can talk about this more,” he said.
