The Netflix series Wednesday – starring Jenna Ortega as the titular character  – has been a hit with fans.

In fact, the horror series has quickly become one of the most streamed series of 2022.

According to Deadline, the supernatural series secured a top spot after it recorded a whopping 341.23 million hours viewed in its first week.

But did you know that series also stars a South African stunt woman who is Wednesday Addam’s double?

SA’S JENNY AYUMI REVEALED AS ‘WEDNESDAY’ STUNT DOUBLE

Jenny Ayumi – who hails from Mzansi – has been revealed as the stunt double for Wednesday Addams, as played by Jenna Ortega.

And with her dark hair and chocolate-brown eyes, Jenny is clearly the right pick for the role.

Born to Japanese and German parents, Jenny grew up, and Cape Town and is now pursuing an acting career. And that included some dangerous stunts, as seen on Wednesday.

The series was filmed over a period of eight months in Romania.

She shared in an Instagram post of her role: “I was lucky enough to be the stunt double for the incredibly talented Jenna Ortega on Wednesday.

To Jenna, she shared: “It was such a pleasure working with you. You are such a kick-ass, badass human. And you truly didn’t need a stunt double, but I’m grateful to have been yours!

“You truly are the perfect ‘Wednesday’.  I hope our paths will cross again”.

She added: “This show changed my life.”

Apart from Wednesday, Jenny’s other acting credits include roles in the series Resident Evil and movies including The Maze Runner, Tomb Raider, and Escape Room.
