After leaving Cassper Nyovest’s record label Family Tree Records earlier this year, Nadia Nakai has spread her wings and become her own boss! The Practice rapper officially launched her new record label, Bragga Records on Monday 15 November and fans can expect some new music from her soon!

NADIA ON LEAVING FAMILY TREE RECORDS
Nadia Nakai joined Cassper’s Family Tree Records label before the release of her debut album Nadia Naked in 2016. She announced her departure from the label in July during an interview with hip-hop heavyweight Siya Metane, popularly known as Slikour.
She explained that she was scared to break the news to Cassper but she eventually got through to him.
“I need to be able to stand on my own. Funny enough, I was scared to tell Cass. After I told him, I could feel he was a bit sad, but we are good.”
“I will always hold Cass in the highest regard and respect because he’s been very instrumental in my career and life.”
BRAGGA RECORDS IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS
Nadia Nakai took to Instagram on Monday 15 November to formally announce the “next chapter of her life”, Bragga Records.
She said she wouldn’t be able to start Bragga Records without Cassper Nyovest and Family Tree Records. Nadia also promised that she’ll be releasing some new music soon!
“THANK YOU for all that you invested in me over the years! ‘A Mentor is someone who sees more talent in yourself and helps bring it out of you’ Thank you! Bragga Records OFFICIAL!!!! New music loading” wrote the 31-year-old rapper.

NADIA NAKAI’S NEW CLOTHING LINE
The Sama-nominated rapper teamed up with clothing brand Redbat on a new range of clothes. This is the second range of clothing Nadia has worked on with the athleisure brand.
The range of clothing includes hoodies, crop tops, two-piece sets and handbags. The range is available on Sportscene.
