GOODLUCK’S ‘BIRD OF PARADISE’

French producer Dimitri Tikovoï has worked with several A-listers in music including Mikky Ekko, Charli XCX, Becky Hill and Blondie. The Grammy award-winning producer worked with GoodLuck on their new single Bird of Paradise

The band wrote the single with Tikovoï while on tour in London. GoodLuck lead singer and songwriter Juliet Harding mentioned that the song is about breaking a toxic situation trap and popping the balloon of self-doubt.

“Essentially, becoming a Bird of Paradise is the metaphor and as they find the courage to fall in love with their colours, the boundlessness… themself. They find the real, truth that inside they had the strength they needed all along,” Harding told IOL

Bird of Paradise was finished off by Grammy award-winning engineer John Greenham at his studio in Los Angeles. Greenham received a Grammy Award for mastering Billie Eilish’s 2019 album When We All Fall ASleep, Where Do We Go?

THE PROCESS

Taking to Instagram, Juliet Harding shared that she had written the motivaional song for someone that was going through a rough time.

“I could see that she felt the world was against her and she was trapped by her circumstances. It hurt me to see my friend in such a difficult space.”

“In my imagination, she found that ultimately she had the power to change herself and her stars…she figured out that no one else could be responsible for that.”
