The top 25 finalists for the Mrs South Africa pageant were revealed at a star-studded red carpet event at Emperor’s Palace on Friday.

The Charity ball in aid of Women4Women is a fixture on the Ekurhuleni social scene where money is raised for a great cause, but it is also a glamorous affair and the perfect opportunity for guests to dust off their glass slippers and be treated to a delectable dinner while viewing a seamless stage production.

The event was hosted by popular television presenter Katlego Maboe and featured the musical stylings of South African all-girl electric string quartet, The Muses.

Mrs South Africa’s top 100 finalists gathered on the night but only 25 of Mzansi’s best would progress to the final pageant where a new queen will be crowned. The event will take place on 8 November at the Emperor’s Palace.

Judges Vusi Zwane, Hlengiwe Twala, Leanne Dlamini, Mel Viljoen, Nicole Capper and principal judge Cindy Nell-Roberts admitted to this being the hardest round of judging thus far as all semi-finalists had inspired them and displayed beauty, grace and dedication.

The real work now begins for the 25 ladies vying for the crown of Mrs South Africa. “The top 25 finalists will now embark on a journey of fundraising, networking and self-development until the final round of judging, to name the Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa 2019,” a press release from the organization read.

“The winner will become an ambassador for the organisation and its sponsors and represent South Africa internationally at Mrs World.

“The Mrs South Africa brand showcases the virtues of South Africa, the spirit of Ubuntu, and the real relatable women of the country.”
