In a month’s time, Dave Bosman will skate from John O’Groats at the top of Scotland to Lands End at the bottom of England.

He will have no support over the six weeks, and will carry everything he needs on his back.

Bosman plans to raise £3000 (£3 per mile) for TLC Children’s Home in South Africa, a charity which seeks to find permanent loving families for the orphaned and abandoned babies of Johannesburg infected or affected by the HIV/AIDs crisis.

According to Bosman: “Every pound that we raise will go towards supporting this amazing charity and the brilliant work that they do helping orphaned and abandoned children in Gauteng, South Africa.”

Every £1 donated will go towards infant formula, groceries, nappies and day to day running costs.

To date, Bosman has raised just over £1,200 on his JustGiving page.
