Go ahead and pick your flavour of the day out of these four events taking place on Saturday 25th June 2016.

1. Summer Wine Festival | Cape Wine & Food – Surrey

When: Saturday 25th June – 11:00am

Where: Staines upon Thames TW18 2DX

What: Wine + South Africans = One and the same. So with a chance to taste up to 50 wines out in the country, it’s a no brainer! £20 for a ticket and if you are one of the first 12 tickets sold, you get a free wine masterclass too.

2. African Comedy Festival – London

When: Saturday 25th June – 6:30pm

Where: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park E20 2ST

What: In celebration of the heritage of African Comedy, this annual event is back with a vengeance to capture that forthright humour we all grew to know and love (and possibly crave in the UK). With comedians and musicians from all over Africa, tickets start from £25.

3. SA Sokkie / Dance – Hook, Hampshire

When: Saturday 25th June – 7:00pm

Where: The Elizabeth Hall, Hook RG27 9HH

What: Alongside the infamous ‘ballroom dancing’ we often refer to as “langarm”, why not take part in the second round addition of Carmen’s sokkie event. Social banter, your own impressions of the dance of love and even specific music requests are strongly encouraged. It’s bring your own drinks and snacks, but local hotels nearby will give you great deals if you mention you are taking part in the event. Tickets for adults are only £4 and children (under 12) £2.

4. UBUNTU Festival – Birmingham

When: Saturday 25th June – 9:30pm

Where: The Drum, Birmingham B6 4UU

What: Kwaito kings and aspiring DJ’s from South Africa make their debut in the UK. Get a bunch of people together and start the education and appreciation of local sounds and the beat of back home.
