Message from Mike Chapman (1959) — Chairman of Rhodes University UK Legacy Group:

Dear Fellow Old Rhodian

Having been able to set up the Rhodes UK Trust, with excellent support from UK based Old Rhodians, I was happy to fade out, knowing that I had left it in good hands. Last year, however, I agreed to Chair the UK Legacy Group with the aim of bringing together our more mature Old Rhodians.

We had a great initial event in 2012. The VC brought us up to date about Rhodes and we shared memories of our time there. As we lunched I heard that a number of you could not be there. This year we are ready to move ahead and expand our group and I hope many more of you can make this 2013 luncheon.

Please put the date aside, and let us think about how we can support future Old Rhodians. Let us also gather to hear directly from the VC about Rhodes and think about the Rhodes we left behind, and where it is today, and  where it is wanting to go in the future.
