Teeny tiny castle, but no less magical.

England’s smallest castle is f

On the northern edge of the Cotswolds on the southern tip of Warwickshire, close to the borders of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire, sits a beautiful small castle called Molly’s Lodge and it is up for grabs.

If you’ve ever dreamed of living in your own castle in England, you have until 19 April to think about it.

According to rightmove, Molly’s Lodge is an attractive former gate house to the Weston Park Estate. The property dates back to 1834 and was designed by Edward Blore, an architect who is mostly known for his completion of John Nash’s design of Buckingham Palace.

It looks really dreamy and, according to the description, features “squared and shaped coursed limestone, polygonal corner turrets, embattled parapet, a pyramidal slate roof with carved finial and stone mullion windows.”

Inside, it is a full functioning home featuring a bedroom, a bathroom, living room, decorative spiral staircase and dining room complete with mullion windows and a cast iron Victorian fireplace.

The property is set to sell for £550,000 – which is said to be “way under offer” and it apparently costs no more than a mid-sized flat in London!

Even the garden looks like something straight out of a fairy tale.

The gardens are laid out to distinct areas including formal lawns, an ornamental pond, as well as a cottage garden with box hedging and graveled seating area. There are raised vegetable patches, a chicken run with shed, a green house and a potager garden planted with soft fruits, vegetables and herbs.

In addition there is a hard standing area with garden shed and seating area (perfect for hosting tea parties!?). A small orchard has plum, pear and apple trees, whilst yew hedges, honeysuckle and herbaceous borders provide structure, scent and a variety of color all year round.

Another bonus, situated adjacent to the property is Molly’s Mews, a detached timber framed building with a single garage, two carports and a secure home office. External stairs provide access to a “self contained one bedroom with extra living space, kitchenette, double bedroom and a separate bathroom”, perfect for those weekends when the family comes to visit you in the countryside!

Just wow!
