I am a UK citizen born in South Africa to British parents. My father was born in the UK as were both his parents. I lived in the UK for about 7 years, after which I returned to South Africa. My minor child was born in South Africa after I returned. Does my child qualify for British citizenship?

Since you are British by decent, the only way a parent can pass on this citizenship is if they meet the following three requirements as per Section 3(2) of the British Nationality Act of 1981.
