Acclaimed biographer Andrew Morton has turned his attention to the newest member of the royal family, in his book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess.

The book details the key aspects of Meghan Markle’s life – from her days as partying college student, right through to her first dates with Prince Harry.

It’s already received plenty of attention, as excerpts from the publication had been shared by print media earlier in the week. The general public have been moved by the revelation that Markle wants to be just like Princess Diana.

But what else is in the book, and how can you get your hands on it?

Meghan: A Hollywood Princess – Key information

Where can I buy Meghan: A Hollywood Princess?

The book has it’s official release date in the UK on 12 April, but South African outlets won’t be selling the book until 17 April. In Australia, that date has been pushed back to 19 April.

You can currently pre-order the audio-book through Audible.

How much does it cost?

The retail price for a hard copy is between R300 – R350. For the audiobook, you’re looking at just R167 if you sign up to the Audible service. To buy it without subscribing would cost you R265. You can also buy it on Kindle for as little as R125.

What is featured in the book about Meghan Markle?

Whilst the book isn’t exactly salacious, it does come with a treasure trove of juicy gossip. Meghan: A Hollywood Princess delves into a colder side of Markle – one which cuts friends out to climb social ladders, and ditches her husband “out of the blue”.

However, Markle’s character is ultimately an endearing one in the biography. Not only does she dream of being the next Diana, but she is determined to use her new position of power to carry out more humanitarian work.

Her ambition is admirable, and Morton concludes it is something to be admired rather than feared. The details of her career – and what she did to get ahead – all come to the surface in this publication.

Who is Andrew Morton?

A former tabloid journalist, Morton made a more credible name for himself when he wrote Diana: Her True Story. Published in 1992, his work presented Diana’s side of the story, as how she was eventually ostracised from the royal family following her divorce from Prince Charles.

Morton has also written biographies for Madonna and Tom Cruise. He’s got a great investigative knack and seems to have delivered the goods once again.
