Yes, Master KG, who has won multiple international awards and who broke YouTube records for his smash-hit Jersualema featuring Nomcebo Zikode, has bought one of his fans a house.

The Citizen reported on how a fan posted about how grateful they were for Master KG after the musician bought him a new home. The Twitter user is a massive fan of the music producer.

He later confirmed, after people inquired if Master KG really brought him home, that it was true.

Master KG was seemingly equally as happy for the fan.

Austrian Airlines, the flag carrier of Austria and a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, recently kicked off the new year by sharing a video of their attempt at the Jerusalema dance challenge.

A SONG THAT BRINGS THE WORLD TOGETHER

The challenge, that went viral last year, became a viral sensation after it was released by its maker, Master KG.

“After an eventful year 2020, our crew cannot wait to welcome many more of you back onboard again,” the group said on YouTube. “For a worthy start into the new year, our crew has performed a song that brings the world together – just like Austrian Airlines!”

The airline is not the first to participate in the viral challenge that has gone viral all over the world.

The song, that was released in 2019, reached a new peak on the ‘Shazam global top 200’ earlier in June 2020 when the dance challenge hit the internet. Master KG later said he was incredibly proud of the success the song had garnered.

“I am so happy, it’s a dream come true for Jerusalema to be top four on Shazam global charts. I’ve always adored other artists being on the charts and now it’s my turn. It’s a really exciting moment.”

THE CHALLENGE

The Jerusalema challenge was one of many things to shed a positive light on 2020. Since Master KG and Nomcebo Zikode’s hit was released, various people from all over the world proceeded in taking part of the dance challenge – which is a ‘proudly South African’ product as stated by the president.

“There can be no better way to celebrate our South Africans than joining the global phenomenon that is spreading across the world, and that is the Jerusalema dance challenge….the Jerusalema song that I love so much. So I urge all of you to take up this challenge and show the world what we are capable of,” Cyril Ramaphosa said during an address to the nation in 2020.

A GLOBAL FRENZY

It is said that the South African DJ’s hit Jerusalema has taken the world by storm with more than 100 million views on YouTube and counting.
