Alexis Petersen and I (Theo Lawrence) created and produced our debut short film which is five minutes and 49 seconds long. Our film, Please, Mr President, Please, is completely homemade in South Africa.
Dedicated to Collin Khosa
The short film is dedicated to Collin Khosa (RIP)* and all the other victims of human rights’ violations allegedly committed by the army and the police in South Africa during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The film features Alexis Petersen, a renowned vocalist and theatre actress who won critical acclaim for her recent roles in David Kramer’s Musicals, Danger in the Dark and Langarm. She is also the Baxter Theatre’s CEO Artist of the Year award winner for 2019.
