kykNET is looking to launch its new reality show called Kwarantyn on Wednesday, 10 June 2020.

#LockdownLiving on new reality show Kwarantyn:

The show will see two South African families quarantined under camera surveillance in two separate houses for the duration of two months in an undisclosed location. Throughout this time, these families will also have to ‘win over’ the audience in order to ultimately win the R250 000 cash prize. The chosen families will take on a series of tasks, games and projects allocated to them. These challenges will afford the contestants with rewards in the form of data, TV time and limited resources among other benefits. In the duration of the 50 days, each member is also expected to set and achieve a personal goal all while trying to get more followers on social media than the rest.

When to watch kykNET’s Kwarantyn:

Kwarantyn will air all day every Wednesday on kykNET’s latest broadcast channel, DStv channel 149.

Meanwhile, a 24-minute highlight reel will air at 17:00 from Mondays to Saturdays on kykNET, DStv channel 144 while a 48-minute highlight reel will air on the same channel.

“Voyeuristic television has always fascinated viewers and watching two dynamic families can provide great excitement, entertainment, emotional moments, new insights and surprises. We don’t know what to expect, but look forward to what the two families will come up with ” said Karen Meiring, the Director of M-Net’s kykNET channels.

The two families who are going to take part in the program is the Le Roux and the Scheepers family. The two families, who are from Centurion and Johannesburg respectively, will reportedly provide for hours of fun and drama.

Kwarantyn reportedly follows after the success of Trap! Dis My Huis produced by Afrokaans, which saw contestants forced to live together in a small two-bedroom complex unit with a cash prize for the last one standing.
