A grandma has gone viral on the social media app TikTok for having one of the most savage responses to her daughter telling her that she is expecting another child. In the clip that has amassed nearly one million views on the app, the grandmother struggles to hide her disappointment while holding an ultrasound that was probably part of her daughter and son-in-law’s latest pregnancy reveal.
Many people headed to the comment section to discuss the grandmother’s reaction with some of them justifying it while others slammed her for being unable to celebrate with her daughter.
Grandma’s savage reaction to getting another grandkid goes viral
When revealing a pregnancy, the expecting parents always hope to get great reactions from supportive family members who can’t wait to welcome a new addition into the world – especially if the parents themselves were shocked by the news.
Unfortunately, it isn’t always that way and one savage grandmother proved this to be the case.
In a video shared by @mariskrodal, a young couple can be seen sharing the news with the grandmother who is less than happy to hear that her daughter and son-in-law are having another baby so soon after their last one.
“You’re having another one already?” responds the grandma while looking at an ultrasound of the unborn baby. Her daughter, who is clearly hurt by her reaction, replied, ”Mom, I mean yeah,” while looking at her husband for some reassurance.
Her mother, completely oblivious to her daughter’s disappointment goes on to say:
“You can’t handle the two you have. Really, another baby?”
This prompted someone out of view of the camera to say, “That’s really messed up, Mom.“

TikTokers react
The post resulted in a number of reactions from TikTokers who either agreed with the grandmother that having kids in close succession in the current economy isn’t the smartest move.
Others however said that she could have at least pretended to be happy.
“What happens when the grandma is the full-time nanny?” suggested an online user while others thanked her for her honesty, saying, “The truth hurts but needs to be said.”
