Here is a list of the 12 things the model and TV presenter learnt in her first year of being a mom.

JANUARY – LOVE

“Hello January, you were ground-breaking and earth-shattering for me,” Graham began as she reminisced about the day she gave birth to her son. She said the first month of being a mom taught her to love in a new way.

“I learnt how to love in a way that I never knew I could love. Never. People will tell you, people will try to explain it to you but you don’t know love until you have a child of your own,” she said.

FEBRUARY – SLEEP

In February the model learnt that her body can survive on a lot less sleep than it is used to. She admits that prior to the mom life she used to go to bed early, sleep in late and take naps. That changed.

MARCH – KEEP MOVING FORWARD

March was when the global coronavirus pandemic affected lives across the globe with the introduction of national lockdowns and other precautionary measures. This taught Graham that, whatever happens, she has to keeping moving forward.

APRIL – TEAMWORK MAKES DREAMWORK

In April, she learnt to appreciate her husband and mother for all their help.

“Thank God for my amazing husband, thank God for my amazing mother because we made it work, in Nebraska, in the house that I actually grew up in,” she said.

MAY – ‘BOOBS, THEY’RE AMAZING, PERIOD’

In May, Graham learnt to appreciate her body and the purposes they serve, such as breastfeeding.

JUNE – REACH OUT TO OTHER MOTHERS

Close to six months in, the Do It For the Graham star learnt the importance of having other mothers to reach out to and said that she was grateful for her “mommy community”.

JULY – BODY POSITIVITY

The body positivity activist learnt she did not need to achieve a post-partum weight goal. To prove this she recently shared a nude video of herself with the caption: “I love me, not every day, but most!” as she continued with Megan Thee Stallion’s Body Ody feel-good body song.

AUGUST – HOME IS WHERE THE SON IS

“Home is wherever I am with you,” Graham said.

SEPTEMBER – WORK

In September, Graham realised that you should not feel guilty for being a working mom, and you should show your child what a true role model is.

OCTOBER – TIMES FLIES

October taught her that time flies, so it is important to appreciate the little memories, like all the giggles and the smiles.

NOVEMBER – THE IMPORTANCE OF THE FUTURE

“I want to fight for a better future for you and for all the other children out there. It is important that we all stand up for what we believe in today,” Graham said.

DECEMBER – SEEING THE WORLD THROUGH A BABY’S EYES

The proud mother said that she was blessed to see the world through her son’s eyes and watch all his firsts.
