A mother of three has gone viral on social media after she showed off her resilience during the 2022 Comrades Marathon which took place this weekend. Jenna Challenor has melted many hearts after she was pictured literally crawling to the finish line after running the race for a grueling six hours and 42 minutes.

Despite being mentally and physically exhausted, Jenna was determined to cross the line to make her family – who were supporting her all along the way – proud.

KZN mom goes viral after crawling to the Comrades Marathon finish line

41-year-old Jenna Challenor has become the face of determination on social media after she finished the Comrades Marathon literally on her knees.

The mother of three, who comes from KwaZulu-Natal, was pictured crawling to the finish line and finishing up the race in fourth place.

Her motivation? Her three children and husband had worn pink in support of their mother who desperately wanted to finish the race and make them proud.

“I was crawling to the finish line, towards my husband and my beautiful girls.

“That was the ultimate human race. It took all of me. But it was amazing. It didn’t want to crawl over the finish line. But my legs wouldn’t get up. So that was my best option,” she told Daily Maverick.

The publication also reveals that she had collapsed three times during the long race but got up each time and remembered why she was doing it.

Mzansi is inspired

Her story was shared on the popular Facebook page ImStaying, and left many people in complete awe of her determination.

Many of them commended her greatly in the comment section.
