1. TOTAL NINJA CAPE TOWN

The Total Ninja obstacle course in Cape Town was inspired by the hit television show, Ninja Warrior. The inflatable course is the largest inflatable obstacle course in Africa and people of all ages can participate!

There is a separate course for children under five years old and it only costs R80. The Total Ninja course is R160 per adult for a one-hour session.

2. UNLEASH YOUR INNER INVESTIGATOR

If solving puzzles is what you’re all about, then this is for you. HintHunt is one of the many escape rooms available in Cape Town and this is how it works: You have a limited time to solve clues and puzzles then it’s all over. You need at least two players to complete the escape room so get a friend to take along!

3. CATCH A MOVIE AT THE LABIA THEATRE

The Labia Theatre, opened in 1949, is the oldest independent cinema in Cape Town. The cinema has a few Hollywood movies on offer including the Austin Butler-led biopic, Elvis and Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise.

4. CAVE GOLF AT V&A WATERFRONT

There are several mini golfing spots in the Mother City but Cave Golf at V&A Waterfront is by far the most unique one. The venue is an 18-hole putt putt course inside a man-made cave. While the adults are bringing out their inner Tiger Woods, the kids can scratch around for gold at Scratch Patch.

A round of golf will set you back R55 per person. (R35 for the golf and a R20 refundable deposit)

5. GO UNDER THE SEA AT THE TWO OCEANS AQUARIUM

The Two Oceans Aquarium is home to sharks, fish, turtles and penguins and many other sea creatures. You can also admire a few jellyfish and purchase a few items to take home with you at the gift shop.

Tickets are R220 for adults and R165 for children between 14 and 17 years old. Children between 4 and 13 years old are R105.
