The beginning of the new month signals a bank notification for most of the working class in South Africa and one of the most important things to remember is to pay your bills before spending your hard-earned money on some much-needed fun.

Twitter user @LenyoraBillium had Tweeps entertained after he admitted to spending R5 000 on booze, forgetting to pay his rent money first…

And the worst is that the regretful man says he can’t remember drinking all that alcohol himself and is demanding a refund!

MORE MONEY, MORE BOOZE!

@LenyoraBillium ended off his long weekend at Cofi in Polokwane for a Podcast and Chill with MacG afterparty.

On Monday morning he woke up to the harsh sunlight and realisation that he swiped away his rent money for booze!

Taking to Twitter he wrote: “Hebanna, I thought I have money when I blew R5 000 over the weekend, kanti I didn’t pay rent”.

He added several crying emojis to the post and said he could not believe what had happened.

‘MUST I GO ASK FOR A REFUND?’

The Twitter user claims that he remembers swiping his bank card for a bottle of luxury alcohol but he only remembers drinking three glasses.

He asked his 5 000 followers to advise him about whether he should ask the restaurant for a refund because well… His rent needs to be paid!

“Must I go ask for a refund ko Cofi or what? Or do I need attorneys to send them letters? Please advise, I really need rent money.”

TWITTER REACTS

Before some tweeps gave the man advice, they fired questions at him wanting to know the particulars of his “incident”.

One user wrote: “So before swiping, you didn’t stop and think that ‘hau, where’s this extra money coming from?”

Another Twitter user suggested he takes a loan out at Pep and one tweep wrote: “I knew this weekend was a dangerous one. That’s why I paid my rent on Wednesday.”
