Halloween brings the ghosts, ghouls, and ghastly apparition costumes out the closet for an evening of trick-or-treating, but if you aren’t into roaming the streets begging for sweets, here are a few fun alternatives to enjoy this year.

Celebrate Halloween with something different this year

The Madhouse Halloween M**der Mystery with Dukes of Note

Enjoy an evening of dinner, dress-up, and musical delight with the Dukes of Note for a M**der Mystery night.

The popular annual event hosted by a Touch of Madness sees guests trying to solve a murder while enjoying a delicious multi-course meal and entertainment by Archduke Knightshade and the Dukes of Note in the form of a Live Theatric Carnival Gypsy-Rock band.

The Dukes will also be bringing their little “Dukebox” filled with phat bouncy beats to keep you dancing and swinging the night away.  Table-bookings and reservations essential. Tickets are limited so be sure to get yours ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

A Rockabilly Halloween at La Parada in Bree Street

Head to La Parada Bree Street for a Rockabilly Halloween on Thursday, 29 October.

Boasting a Day of the Dead theme, the party features a line-up of local DJs, including Shaun Westwood, Lee Thomson, and Gerry Liberty. There will also be Halloween face painters, drinks specials.

Spooktacular Beach Clean-up

Secret Sunrise Cape Town

After a four-month hiatus, Secret Sunrise is back with a boo.

On Saturday, 31 October 2020, adapted Secret Sunrise will host a special Halloween experience of dancing and picnicking surrounded by the beauty of Mother Nature.

Secret Sunrise is collaborating with Crispbreads to bring you an hour-long Secret Sunrise dance, ending with a Crispbread, filled with loads of goodness, for either a delightful picnic on the common or as a take away for wherever you wish to enjoy it.

Secret Sunrise is adhering to COVID-19 social “dis-dancing” protocols and masks must be worn at all times.
